Restaurant Review - (The) Fish House
I've been to this place quite a few times now, but like i said before, don't feel like going back to list all the restaurants I've been to in past year. although I was thinking of starting a restaurant Review blog, but maybe if i feel up to it, then i'll start it and then write as many as I can remember.
The Fish House is located in Willowdale on Sheppard and 404. It's on sheppard, east of the 404. It looks like a fish house too, on the north side ofthe street.
So lemme tell you, I've been here probably at least 3 times, if not more. and the first time i went, was good, last time before Saturday I went, was not so good, and Saturday, I enjoyed it again.
saturday lunch, I had the Blackened catfish sandwich. and it came with fries. the sandwich was good actually, I enjoyed it. It was not spicy like the waitrress said, but it was good, wasn't amazing, but I'd recommend it. It was fried, but wasn't so heavy that you don't want to eat it. That dish was in order of $7.50 or something? my friend beside me had the Boullabaisse, which is the fish broth stew with mussels, calamari, shrimp, and scallops. It looked really good actually, not sure how filling it'd be for me, but it filled her up. It looks really good, that was $12.99 I think. So food in general, I'd say was above average, so pretty good.
Setting and environment was nice, wasn't anyhing spectacular, it looks like a seafood house. the decorations were appropriate. the washroom I think looked nice, so it's always good to have nice washrooms.
Service, the waitress was good. we had like 20 some odd people, and she handled herself pretty good. She ws polite, cared for us, all in all, service was pretty good.
So here is what I think, everything is pretty good, above average, but nothing was spectacular that blew me away. i'd give it a 3.25/5.0. It's a place I'd recommend to others, it's not too expensive, and it's a nice place.
