So been away from this for a while, and I have had a few things I wanted to write about.

So previously I told you I bought this magazine called "Discover", it's a magazine about science, medicine, and technology. Okay, so there is this story in there entitled "Fooled by the Full Moon". So basically the story says that the harvest moon, which occurs on September 10th, has more to it than just a full moon. so the story says that some people have said around this time, that women are more prone to have babies. they say "Menstrual cycles have been linked with the unar cycle for thousands of years." And that there is a 1 percent increase in births around the time of the full moon. So I thought to myself, wait a minute, that is so true!

on Sept 9th, I had like 5 people on my icq list who had birthdays. There must be some truth to this myth, the facts show for themselves. The magazine article says "The word menstruation is derived from the same root as moon...that the average woman's menstrual period is in fact close to the duration to the 29-1/2 length of the lunar month.

This is some amazing science here, imagine if this could be really proven, that the full moon does have somethng to do with births? I am telling you, there must be truth to this, why else do I know so many people with birthdays around that day. And I'm not the only one who noticed this too. JL said the same thing on his blog.

So the school year has been going on for a few weeks now, and I am moved out of home. I am liking this new place a lot now, getting used to it. At first I had reservations about it before I moved in, but now I like how it looks. It feels homey. The only problem is the bathroom, but it's okay, it only is a problem when I wake up some days, and I can wait another 5 mins in bed. hahaha.

But the thing is I've been so busy lately, and it's only a little part of school that is the problem. I have not even started studying or doing work in 2 courses, and my schedule is so jammed packed. Living downtown has created a slight problem in that I'm so much closer to life down here, and it's like you want to do everything, catch up on what you missed. So someone tell me to smarten up and do some work!

I must be somewhat cursed. Two Sundays ago I was walking and late for church. I had my umbrella with me in case it rained. Then I called my sister to pick me up and so she did. And so I left my umbrella in her car. And little you know it, Monday is rained, rained some more that week, and then Isabel. Thanks! no umbrella, and the rain comes. When I had the umbrella, no rain. Again today, had a chance to get the umbrella yesterday, nope. And it rains again today, even more than Friday it seemed, but not as windy.

So I've been noticing all the danger I've put myself in which downtown now. I consistently j-walk all the time, sometimes expecting the car to slow down or stop. And this is not just me, but tons of students. Especially in front of the Bahen Centre crossing to Galbraith Building. I am surprised I have not heard of anyone being hit by a car. Because there is so many people crossing that all the time now, not so much before Bahen opened, but tons now. And cars just have to stop now, to wait for a bunch of people to cross. I'm telling you, it's a deathwish waiting to happen.
