Did not have time last night to make an update, but taking some time today to do so. A lot has happened this week so let me get started. I also had some interesting questions that came up this week, so keep on reading, because there are some doozies.

This week the company I work for threw a party for all the new graduates in the company. It was great, mingled with some of the executives, chatted with some people I had not met yet, eat, and play. And I played Whirly Ball, which is sofun. Basically it's like bumper cars, but u got this scoop and a ball where you fling the ball with the scoop to hit this board on each side. It was so fun. I have to go back now because I had such a good time.

On Friday there was a Halloween party at my work. I don't really like Halloween just because I don't like dressing up and maybe because it does not benefit me. BUT I really enjoyed this Halloween, seeing people around me dress up. Now I want to think of a costume to make for next year. hahaha. I'm a loser.

I went camping this weekend for the first time in like forever. I still remember the last time I went camping. I was with my parents and relatives. We had a boat and we crossed over to the States. Then we left to get back to campsite too late and we did not have a light so we got lost. Man, that was an experience. Anyways, this time just went for one night to get away from the city. It was really fun, we went hiking which unfortunately did not fulfill it's full purpose because at time we just wanted to get through it, so we rushed. But I saw some really amazing stuff while hiking, especially the fungi on the trees, I've never seen something like that and to that extent. But while I was walking it reminded me a lot of Rattray Marsh, a conservation area like 2 minutes from my house. The marsh looks just like what I saw on my hikes at Rattray Marsh. The walks, the marshes, the rivers. But one thing it does not have are the cliffs. Man, I was thinking what it'd be like if I fell off. Cliffs at Algonquin were so nice, you look down and don't really see the bottom but you see thousands of trees pointing towards you and no bottom. So amazing.

One other thing i realy enjoyed about hiking are seenig the roots of trees that stick out of the ground. There is something really nice about roots, they are so strong able to withstand the weight of people standing on them, able to hold up the tree it comes from. And all the geometries it makes by crossing each other. I don't know what it is, but they just are an incredible creation.

Had some interesting conversations and I've had a few recent conversations about childhood and elementary school. The context is how bad we were when in elementary school. Man, I cannot believe some of he stories I have heard from friends I would have never guessed did waht they did. I look back at my past and cah't believe I was disciplined or did waht I did. But also all the fun times I had in elementary school doing the most simplest things.

For example, I cannot believe I was given detention for one week for throwing a snowball. Man, it snows and all we want is some fun. But one snowball and it get's me ONE WHOLE WEEK away from recess. Yeah, I know it MAY hit and injure someone, but things happen. And then I think about the games we used to play, so simple yet so fun, had a blast. It always involved a tennis ball. Whether it's throwing from one side of the field to the other and just throwing and catching back and forth, or throwing against the wall and trying to get it the furthest and catching. Man, so simple yet I had such a great time. If only life can be so simple these days! What was the most interesting or dumb thing you did in elementary school? Were you a bully? Or were you picked on?

Oh, an interesting article I just read, was not planned to write about this but it is interesting. Philadelphia was rated as the Best Tippers in the US with an average tip of 19.2%. I don't know about you but compared to that I am a really bad tipper. Do you know how much that is? That is a whole lot of money 19%. Not even restaurants charge that much when they have large group parties, with usual tips being 15%. One reason I think about this is maybe because their sales tax is lower, and thus they tip higher? I have no idea, but basically 15% is like max I tip, unless I just want to leave then sometimes I'll leave more. What about you, what do you tip?
