So it seems like I am going to make this blog a once a week thing, given my past few entries. I have been up to date with others' blogs as well lately. I hope everyone else is doing well.

This week I was reading some articles on Yahoo, NYTime, and other sources. Headline is Coffee causes heart disease. I refuse to read this article, because I love coffee. I have at least one cup a day, and it's my daily pick up to get my day started. It is something I truly enjoy, how can I just give it up. Which brings to mind a friend who just had a baby. So from waht I hear she used to be an avid coffee drinker. But once pregnancy hit she had to quit. Man that must have been hard. I think I could quit drinking coffee if I had a substitute that tasted as good and made me relax the same way coffee does. I did tea for a year while in school and that worked as well, but now I am back to coffee. However I don't see any point of quitting no coffee, give me someone who died from it and I'll give it some thought.

Another article I read this past week has been about Chamomile. I have been drinking chamomile at work lately as well because the tea is there and I've kind of grown a liking to it. However once I started drinking it I read this article how supplements can damage your eyes, with chamomile being one of them. My eyes are bad enough I don't need things to make them worse. However they do say avoid the supplments, and the tea should not fall into that class right? Anyways, I'll probably just ignore this study as well, not because I love chamomile, just because I need some more proof as well. However I may try some other teas this week to see how they taste.

Lately (actually for a long time now) I have been thinking about travelling. Ever since I came back from Europe it has been on my mind constantly. I really want to travel, work overseas, and have some fun. I have always had the desire to work overseas primarily because I just wanted to get out of the house, and see more things. However now it's different, no longer is that my priority (getting out of the house). When I came back from Europe I had this plan that if I did not find a job within a few months I'd try my luck in the UK, working and travelling. There is so much more in Europe that I have not seen and I want to see more of it.

However, a twist came in right when I came back. In church we started doing 3 Colours Ministry and so I joined it. And low and behold this books tells me my #1 Manifested gift is Missionary. Now I was like, WHAT? However the more I read about it at the time the more I thought, yeah, maybe this is what I want. Now what I do not want is going to third world countries and helping the needy. Speaking truthfully, that's not really me, and it's also not what Missionary primarily is. Part of Missionary (as the book says) stems from want to get outside your environment. They enjoy "establishing a new home and ministry in a foreign culture." Now true I am not the best "minister"ee, but I have a small desire to do so. I am very uncomfortable doing it, but I could. However part of this gift also involves immersing youself in a forign culture (whether in your home country or not). And then it started making me think, does God want me to go overseas? Tell me yes!

And then came the job. so now I am working, but I think through this job I can learn a lot and be able to fit in easier say in places like the UK (non-third world). Reason I say non-third world, is because I am really not sure if I can handle it. I have never really had the desire to "go do missions" in it's typical definition of going to poverty stricken areas to minister and evangelize. However I guess I now learn it's not about that, especially the evangelize aspect (I hope). It is about immersing yourself into different culture and finding relationships there. Then through those relationships the God will work.

Anyways, this going overseas is still on my mind. It also affects many other aspects of life as well. For example, what about 'settling down and having a family'? Well, right now I don't have a family, nor do I see one close. I could imagine myself having one, but right now one is simply not close (in my vision). So why not make the use of my "singleness" time and try to do what I cannot do as easily with a family? I shols also make use of my "youth" (if I can still be called young) while I can, because when I get old my knees may be bad, I may have more diseases, and be "tied" down. And after backpacking it, saving money at every stop, I want to always vacation on a budget, you really get to see a lot of things you won't see without a short budget. I believe vacationing with little money can be done. However definately some is needed. I need to buy myself a backpack to carry stuff. hahaha

I joined a gym last week, anybody play squash? I am looking for a partner.
