This week was a great week at work, or in NYC to be more specific. First night, went to go see Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. (website) we got box seats by lining up to put our names in the lottery. Well my coworker went, I did not. Anyways, we won! It was amazing seats, but it was sooo cold there, with the A/C pounding down on me. But it made me think, the musical was so good, I wonder how much it has to do with the actors. John Lithgow (3rd Rock from the Sun) and another TOny award winning actor, Norbert Butz were in it. They were hilarious! Anyways, go watch it, guaranteed laughter.
Second night, went to see the US Open! Oh yeah, I watched Lindsay Devenport fall to Elena Dementieva and then the BIG game: Andre Agassi over James Blake. Man Andre looked like he was old and washed up in this game at the beginning. James was playing some spectacular tennis. But Andre came back to win. But it was an amazing game, went to sleep at like 3AM bcause both games went to a final deciding set. But something to remember doing for rest of my life!
Third night, watched season opener of the NFL! New England Patriots vse. Oakland Raiders. Went to ESPN zone to watch, it was such a fun place. Think of it as a better version of Vinnies. So many games which I sucked at.
New York is growing on me more than before. When I first started travelling I knew it would take a toll on me. And my biggest fear is falling away from God. So I intentionally ensured I brought my devotional book which I do not use at home, and did one every morning before work. So I wake up at 7AM, to do my devos. Staying in a hotel just across the street I should take advantage and sleep later, but I find this important actually. So it's been going well, but I think I need to spend more time on it. And if I want to work out in the morning it really pushes things back. Anyways, I am glad I decided to do this.
I am also considering emailing/getting in contact with a local church about small groups. at the end of the day I want to meet people from NYC so small groups are good ways to do it. I already have a church/small group in mind, but I am hesitant. Hesitant only because it'll take up a night. But actually it's on Friday nights so I can't go often anyways. I'll think about it.
If anyone is coming to NYC, gimme a shout, gonna be there at least until end of September.
